"Take me to your leader or I'll kill this man with this deadly jelly baby!"
Readers of this column in Israel may want to know that the Cable companies over there added BBC Prime to their lineups last week. Check your local listings for the channel number, and adjust the information in this column from Central European Time to the local time to know when the Doctor is on. This is the 24 hour version of BBC Prime. Thanks to Adi Kagan for the news.
Dead Ringers, the BBC Radio 4 comedy show which had a Tom Baker impersonator calling unsuspecting people as "The Doctor" last Winter came back on last week, and the Tom Baker segment is expected to be in every episode. The rest of the show's fairly good too. Radio 4 has now gotten permission to simulcast much more of its lineup on the internet, so non UKers should tune to Radio 4's website Fridays at 6:30PM and Saturdays at 12:30PM BST to hear the show and cross their fingers.
S4C in the Wales portion of the UK is finally airing the Peter Cushing movie Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. this Saturday at 5:25PM BST, several weeks after Channel 4 aired the movie through the rest of the UK. Thanks for the alert, David Brunt.
Prime TV in New Zealand has reported that their 6:25PM Doctor Who broadcasts are getting triple the ratings of the show that used to have the timeslot, even though the Doctor is up against 2 newscasts. Thanks to Alden Bates for this report.
MPT Maryland has started its digital transition. WMPT 22 Annapolis is now running WMPT-DT 42. As of publication time, I am trying to find out if WMPT-DT is simulcasting MPT's programming yet, and if the signal covers the same area. MPT's website http://www.mpt.org/ does not have information on this station yet. If anyone in the Baltimore/DC/Northern Virginia area with a digital television could check out what MPT is doing on 42, I would appreciate it. As stations airing Doctor Who begin transmitting their digital signals, I will try to add them to the column ASAP.
IPTV Iowa is moving the Doctor from 11:35PM to 11:05PM once The Invisible Man ends next month. The last 11:35 start is July 14, and the first 11:05 start is July 28 (11:45PM start on July 21 due to special programs). At the moment, 4 part stories are airing in their entirety, and 6 part stories are airing over 2 weeks.
KTEH San Jose, CA has tinkered with their version of Resurrection of the Daleks to improve the quality for its upcoming showing. KTEH has previously restored several edited episodic Tom Baker stories to full length for its viewers.) Details in next week's column.
Reminder to BBC America Doctor Who fans. The weekday 5AM EDT showings begin on Monday, June 26.
Finally, US fans of the UK show The League Of Gentlemen will want to know that the Comedy Central cable channel is now showing it Monday nights at 10:30PM EDT. While it stars and is produced by popular Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss, I do not believe the show is sufficiently connected to Doctor Who to cover it in This Week.

It turns out that this is the 1999 BBC2 colour broadcast of "Silurians", not the Black & White version that UKTV's advertising led people to believe. The version of Spearhead From Space rerunning next weekend is also the one cleaned up for broadcast on BBC2 in 1999. In this story, the 3rd Doctor tries to convince the Silurians that peaceful coexistence with humanity is possible.
